GNI is looking for a dedicated professional to help lead our global policy work to advance digital freedom of expression and privacy. Working at the intersection of human rights, technology policy, and responsible business conduct, the Policy & Communications Associate or Manager will help drive GNI’s policy work, develop policy outputs, increase the visibility of our work, and support membership engagement to advance freedom of expression and privacy rights worldwide. Position Responsibilities:
The Policy & Communications Associate/Manager will report to the Executive Director and work closely with other members of GNI’s staff, as well as with the GNI Board, committees, and members. They will be responsible for organizing and leading the activities of GNI’s Policy Committee, including drafting, sharing, editing, and publicizing statements, submissions, and other outputs. They will also be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing internal and external communications that effectively describe the organization’s multistakeholder model, its policy work products, and its framework for responsible business conduct. In addition, they will support the organization of relevant events, the design of programs, as well as outreach to GNI’s diverse membership to enhance meaningful participation, foster engagement and coordination, and support GNI’s strategic growth.

This position can be conducted remotely. Qualified candidates will have between five and twelve years of experience working in the fields of tech policy, human rights, and/or responsible business conduct, and deep familiarity with policy and communications related tactics and tools.
Salary range: US$40,000-100,000. Title and compensation will be determined based on qualifications. Benefits offered may vary depending on country of residence.
