Empower Policy

GNI is a uniquely authoritative platform through which companies, academics, investors, and civil society speak with a single voice and collectively engage governments and international institutions to advocate for laws and policies that protect and respect freedom of expression and privacy rights worldwide.

Since 2017, GNI has focused its policy work on four priority issue areas: network disruptions, intermediary liability and content regulation, privacy and surveillance, and jurisdictional assertions and limits.

Below you can read GNI’s most recent policy work on the four key issues and how we’re shaping internet governance processes.
