The Global Network Initiative (GNI) is pleased to announce that What to Fix and Digital Agenda for Tanzania Initiative (D4TI) have joined GNI as members of our NGO constituency.
“Both NGOs bring important perspectives and experiences that will enhance our understanding of digital freedom of expression and privacy,” said GNI’s Executive Director Jason Pielemeier. “What to Fix’s focus on frontline advocates and evidence-based research will deepen our understanding of the impacts at the nexus of technology and human rights, while D4TI’s work fostering a robust information society in Tanzania will improve our understanding of digital literacy and challenges related to human rights and development.”
What to Fix is a Netherlands-based tech policy and accountability non-profit working to protect and promote internet integrity. They work with communities on the frontline of digital harms to document, diagnose, and devise globally-sound solutions to systemic risks.

Digital Agenda for Tanzania Initiative is a non- profit, non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organization with the primary objective of creating an unencumbered digital society in the areas of digital literacy, digital rights, digital inclusion, digital safety, digital peace, entrepreneurship, technopreneurship. They do this through mentorship and outreach, advocacy and campaigns, education and training, games and sports (edutainment), provision of small grants, transformational thinking and action.
