The Global Network Initiative (GNI) is excited to announce a set of dynamic programming in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 21–22, bringing together its global, multistakeholder membership to explore emerging challenges and strategies for protecting digital rights.
Taking place alongside the “Towards a Free Internet” workshop hosted by the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information (CELE) at the University of Palermo, GNI’s Argentina programming includes our Annual Meeting of Members, our Q3 Board Meeting, and our flagship Annual Learning Forum.
This marks the first time GNI is hosting its Members Meeting and Annual Learning Forum in Latin America — underscoring the region’s growing significance in the global digital rights landscape.
Read the first blog post in a series exploring the themes, learnings, and GNI’s reflections on the ALF 2025.
The 2025 Annual Learning Forum, titled “Navigating Global Paradigm Shifts to Protect Digital Rights,” will serve as the opening plenaries of CELE’s workshop, which is in its 13th year. The event, which will focus on how regulatory, geopolitical, and technological transformations are reshaping the environment for human rights online, will bring together experts, practitioners, and advocates from across sectors to share insights and experiences, with a particular emphasis on Latin American perspectives.
All GNI-hosted events will take place at the University of Palermo, Sede Larrea. A recording of the Annual Learning Forum will be posted on our website after the event for those unable to attend in person.
As always, GNI remains committed to fostering dialogue, promoting shared learning, and advancing accountability and human rights across the technology sector. We look forward to connecting with our members and partners in Buenos Aires.
