The Global Network Initiative (GNI) is pleased to announce four new members to its non-governmental organization (NGO) constituency: Women at the Table (W@TT) joined in January of this year, while Fundación Multitudes, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), and TechFreedom joined in October 2025.
GNI’s Executive Director, Jason Pielemeier, welcomed all new members, noting that “W@TT, IFES, Fundación Multitudes, and TechFreedom represent the broad range of civil society expertise that makes GNI’s membership so unique. Their expertise on issues like elections, competition, and gender, across a broad range of jurisdictions, will further enrich our work.”
Women At The Table (W@TT) is a Geneva-based systems change, equality and democracy think tank focused on ensuring digital public infrastructure is inclusive by design. Our initiatives include the A+ Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms and the AI & Equality Human Rights Initiative. We partner with UN agencies, governments, and civil society across Africa, Latin America, and globally to advance AI policy, applied research, and human rights-based frameworks that ensure democracy and equity for all.
“Digital rights are democracy rights. We’re excited to join GNI’s community at a moment when AI governance will determine whether technology amplifies equity or entrenches exclusion.”

“IFES is honored to join the Global Network Initiative and stand alongside leaders from the private sector, civil society, and academia, united in our shared commitment to freedom of expression and privacy globally in the digital age. “Fundación Multitudes is proud to join the Global Network Initiative to advance our shared commitment to human rights and democracy in the digital age. Building on our experience addressing online gender disinformation, information manipulation, and civic participation across Latin America, we aim to contribute an intersectional perspective that recognizes digital rights as human rights, amplifying the voices of historically underrepresented groups, and strengthening transparency, accountability, and inclusive digital governance.”
