Leslie Harris

Leslie Harris is an adjunct professor in the Georgetown University Master’s degree program in Communications, Culture and Technology, where she teaches ICT law and policy and global Internet freedom.  

Since the Internet’s infancy, Ms. Harris has played a central role on issues pertaining to Internet freedom and human rights, serving in prominent roles as a lawyer, public policy expert, lecturer and strategist. She was previously president of the Center for Democracy and Technology from 2005 to 2014, where she helped facilitate the multi-year process of discussions that led to GNI’s formation and served as a founding board member in the GNI NGO Constituency.
